Dave Harrington (a.k.a. "Super" Dave) is the President of Combatspeed LLC which is located in Tampa, Florida. Dave is a two time retired senior weapons instructor from the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare School at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. He has 23 years of military experience, the last 16 of which were spent in the Army's Special Forces. He qualified as an expert infantryman, conventional and HALO (high altitude, low open) paratrooper, Ranger, and finally combat weapons craft instructor at the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center at Fort Bragg, N.C. Some of the nation's most elite counter terrorist fighters trained under Harrington there.

This 2-day training program is designed for the serious practitioner.

The Martial Gun LLC Combatspeed Gun Handling Program will provide a method in which you may acquire and/or enhance your mental discipline to exclude distraction and increase your powers of observation and focused awareness.

When fighting with a pistol (or any firearm), your ability to remain calm and situationally aware under the pressures of combat is greatly enhanced by total confidence in your equipment and your skill to correctly employ and/or efficiently manipulate it (or them) with either hand (let alone both hands!).

Being able to acquire the ability to actively monitor (or “know”) the working condition of your pistol across the spectrum of getting your pistol into action, keeping it in action, and/or getting it back into action requires disciplined effort.

What you think you know, and what you think you can do, will not support your survival and/or the survival of your loved ones. If or when you are required to use your pistol to thwart an adversary threatening the physical wellbeing of you and/or your loved ones, there is only what you are willing to do, and what you are capable of doing.

The natural progression, complexity, and physical difficulty of the exercises will produce the environment required of the mind and body to learn “what is correct”, “what to look for”, “what it looks like when you see it”, “what it feels like”, and what it sounds like” when the pistol is functioning properly.

The same can be said in respect to any type of interruption (or malfunction) of the pistols cycle of operation. You will learn how to condition yourself to immediately recognize that the pistol has malfunctioned, make the appropriate analysis to identify the malfunction for what it is, and make sound decision(s), and take the appropriate physical action(s) without hesitation to get the pistol back into action.
